My drive chain link broke at the weekend just after i solved my last problem. the chain link is now twisted and bent and i need a new chain link. Can anyone advise what size chain link this is or where i can get a chain link and clip?

Just take your broken chain to your local bearing / power transmission factor and they will match it. Since around the 1960s British made chain had competition from the likes of Poland and India who while conforming to imperial chain sizes as far as pitch and width were concerned, the pin size became a bit of a lottery.

Sorry but can you explain what a "local bearing / power transmission factor" is? a brand name or otherwise of a supplier with a website would be helpful.

Believe it or not there was life before the internet !  Burning a bit of foot leather and making friends with a local supplier is usually worth while as you will come away with what you need - first time!
