Claimed to be the world's first mains electric roller mower, the "Electra" was a product of Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies in 1926. The 14 inch machine with its 1hp. electric motor cost £27.10.0d in 1935. In many respects the "Electra" resembled Ransomes' more conventional machines but with the addition of the motor unit.
