Hello all

i have recently acquired this little beauty it’s all complete and original & it works!!!

not too shabby for something that’s over 70 years old.

i plan to fully restore it but wasn’t too sure of which decal coat of arms to use as the current one is almost none existent.

either King George or Queen Lizzy?

can anyone advise the correct one to use?

regards

1247 indicates 12 inch cut, manufactured in 1947. You're fortunate that the plate is still in place. Many get torn off in the heat of battle. That mower appears to have been well looked after. Lots of Atcos that I come across end up in the back of the shed when the ignition coil fails. The other common issue is a broken kickstarter spring.

I like the 12 inchers because they are easy to lift into and out of trailers.

This guy sells Atco decals: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ATCO-Vintage-Mower-GEORGE-VI-Coat-of-Arms-R…
