Atco first start

Hello,

My 4 stroke ATCO with a suffolk motor started today. I flushed the oil twice and then ran it again but I get a loud metalic knock when under power. When I ground the plug and pull the starter there is no such noise. What do you think ? Rod Knock?

Now I know it will run I am toying with striping down the engine and rebuilding. Any tips?

Many thanks for any help,

James
