atco mower - need help starting

Need a bit of help here.

Given an old atco ..... heavy, powered roller, no name or model but think by looking at pictures it may be a B20 (20" blade?)

cleaned points and took off flywheel and cleaned throughout and then held the wire as manually turned the wheel and felt a jolt

Good news. But then the connector to the plug crumbled!! And .... looked at what I thought was the correct new pug and the arm was bent so obviously too long.

So, what plug would I need as a BP6HS seems too long?

Can I just buy a push on plug connector and this will work with the lead???

Cleaned all filters .. cleaned tank, carb so really looking for the final hurdle to actually getting this going.

What plug? What Lead?

So what number is on the old

So what number is on the old plug?

An image of the engine or even of the old and new plugs side by side will save a lot of guess work.

the old plug was very faint

the old plug was very faint but finally got bp6hs. Got a new one and it looked the same. Put it in an the piston strikes the plug tip but only just. All strange.

What size HT lead is it as well? just seems one thing after another trying to get this old girl going.

In-tank filter was solid, jets all blocked ... now just need to rectify this electrical problem

Any idea what model it is as well? measured cutting barrel width as just under 20" but no distinguishing marks to be found.

NGK B6s or B2LM , both short

NGK B6s or B2LM , both short reach and ok for that engine. HT lead 5mm diameter. Looks like an Atco De Luxe 20.
