Auto-Mower Fuel Tank

Enter a word or two to search the forum section and click the Search Forum button.

Next on my "to do" list is this 18 inch Auto-Mower, No. 476/10/5.  (manufactured 1925 ?)

The Villiers MkVIIIC engine appears to be original, so does the fuel tank brackets.

The ends of the brackets have been "modified", the tank looks like a Farmall tractor auxiliary petrol tank.

Could someone tell me what fuel tank this machine should have ?

regards

Alan

Hello Alan

Sorry not one I'm familiar with, although I collect images of mowers that I don;t have, this is the only one  of an Automower. I have it listed at a 19"?. It may be owned by a club member?

Clive,

Many thanks for the photo. It appears to be a later ? version with the four stroke engine, fan and twin clutches. Hopefully the tank remained the same.

cheers

Alan
