Electrolytic rust removal

Prompted by the excellent results obtained by a contributor to another forum I am experimenting with this process which seems to have a lot going for it.

No expensive apparatus - only needs a plastic tank/drum or even a dustbin , some mild steel sheet and a battery charger.

No dangerous, hash  or expensive chemicals - only needs washing soda crystals from the corner shop!

Easy to set up and very effective.

I used this site as a guide and my initial run derusting a very old and rusty horseshoe produced a pleasing result from a 24 hour soak.
