I wish to restore my Folbate J1, please can someone advise me of the correct colour. At the moment it is a sort of Duck Egg blue/green which looks fairly original. Thanks.

Hello, in the absence of some one telling us the correct colour for your mower the best advice that I can think of is to hope that there is a part of the mower that has been kept out of the daylight and has not been faded by the years of use.
The sort of places to look will be under washers or behind drive wheels etc basically anywhere that has remained out of sight. If you do find such an area of good paint then take it along to your local DIY store for them to scan and match the paint to the nearest colour code that they can supply.

Just to add to the mystery,I also have a Folbate in the same duck egg blue.Mine also appearts to be original.I also have two others which are in a mid green livery. The mystery continues.......

Hello all, although the link above refers to the Folbate J2 it gives us some information regarding the company history. This in turn gives a possible clue to the changes of colour during its production run, I suspect the change to green may be due to the take over of the company by Qualcast.
If anybody knows different perhaps we shall hear more.

Many thanks for your reply, hadn't actually thought of looking behind a washer etc, but will certainly give it a go. Cheers.
