Your JP Super is a12" model made in March 1952.

The mower is working well, but I intend to give it my best ever effort at a restoration :)

Would it have been painted originally? It's showing the vestiges of a colour similar to Ransomes green at the moment.

I don't think any of the aluminium parts were ever painted, and unfortunately the spec of the green paint on the steel cast iron parts is not known.
