Ransomes Auto Certes BSA carb problem.

OK. I've taken on a ransomes auto certes for restoration which will then be my main finish mower. have done some work on it between yesterday and today. from it's original state, it had been left to stand for a number of years. so much so that the fuel line had gone solid and blocked with bonded fuel and the carb including all lines blocked solid.

so with some warm paraffin, the carb was serviced after being stripped. The carb is working well.

However. from the tank to the carb, there's a leak on the carb end fuel input socket where the bolt holding it in place has had it's thread stripped from a previous owner's maintenance. also the mechanism holding the bolt, pin and float has a fault.

I have had the engine firing today after an engine strip down, oil change, points test, etc and it sounds beautiful. just needs a little care.

I'm in need of a little help. does someone here have any spare parts from a BSA engine from either a marquis, auto certes or similar machine using a BSA F12 engine? basically I need either a replacement carb or the components related to the float and fuel in feed to repair the carb.

Any help would be gratefully received.

EDIT: have found supplier for BSA parts, especially for the carb assembly, etc. decent price for parts. Thanks to Paul at Meetens for his help, will be ordering soon.

performed temp repair and all is well. this time, something else a little more serious has developed. the recoil starter and starter clutch are not behaving well. it takes several pulls before there's the slightes bit of bite on the starter clutch. this is more frustrating. a new clutch is £30 but not sure if I can find a replacement recoil starter which would fit. as anyone who has had one of the certes or marquis models with a sloper fitted would have noticed the design of the recoil starter and starter clutch being spring loaded teeth which should force open and bite on the clutch. these aren't and it's a little worrying to say the least. What do I do?
