Hi everyone. this is my first post on the site so intresded in the responce.

Ive been looking for some time for a crank pulley for my webb 18 inch mower. is there any advice to where i can locate this? I’ve been looking a cheap second hand webb mowers to strip for spares to give me the pulley i require. But unsure if the 18inch mower will have the same shaft size as say the 14 inch or 21 inch mowers webb do. if anyone can help i would be interested, or even if someone has one they want rid of! that would be even better. Midlands based but will travel!

Marksminiuk@hotmail.com if anyone wants to mail me.

This the the above pully stripped down, the damage due to running with no bearing can be seen. This is what i need any advise to where to go?

Hello and wellcome to the Old Lawnmower Club,

You are on the right track looking for a donor mower as a source of spares, you may find that the same size clutch was used on other models of mower only close investigation or checking parts lists will confirm that  - unless of course another forum member has the answer to that question.

There are some links to folk that do spares for old or obsolete mowers contained in the Technical Help/Spare Parts file accessed from this forum so feel free to explore.

Re the photos of your clutch centre it almost looks as though it may be possible to machine the worn area and sleeve it back to size if all else fails. This would need to be checked before committing hard earned cash  to a machinist. Also depending on the type of bearing that is fitted a bronze bush could also be machined..

Although having said all of this my first instinct would be to try to source a machine for parts.

Good luck with the project

Ray.
