When rebuilding my 1948 Atco light kickstart model I have two 3/4” spacer shims left over that I can’t account for,despite copious photos on dismantling.The only reference I can find in the parts list is on the rear roller unit.Does anyone know where they fit please?

Well, they belong on a 3/4” diameter shaft ! Where on your machine is such an application? I’ve got a parts list for a similar machine, but maybe not correct for yours , and I can see a couple of Q140 thrust washers at various places but while listing the their thickness, there’s no mention of the internal diameter. Then there’s a couple of H322 in the clutch, shims as required! Detective work required!

I’m now wondering if they are something to do with chain alignment perhaps since I haven’t got the chain fitting stage yet
