Is this off a Qualcast mower?

I am in the process of restoring a JAP 2S - just for the fun of it.
There is a Qualcast stamp on it and I'm pretty sure the 1926 isn't the year as I don't think JAP were making these then. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Was this used on a Qualcast mower?

Qualcast in their various company phases were predominantly an Iron Foundry, hence the name.

Our Land Rover Diesel of 1982 has the stamp on the cylinder head and I know Hillman Imp brake drums  are also stamped Qualcast!
