Is it absolutely necessary to have the very annoying black cookies information bar located at the bottom of the forum screens? There used to be an option to hide it but recently this seems to have changed its format and particularly when using an IPad the option to hide the bar seems to have  disappeared.

Don't seem to have that issue here, but then, as you know Ray, mine's not strictly an iPad !

Hmm, well your post from the Etch a Sketch seems to have brought the hide tab back into view now, that is odd!

Using Firefox, I also see the cookie bar pop-up when logging in, and I would not miss it were it to be taken away.

There was a setting in the updated module that enables this feature that was not set correctly. Once correctly set it all showed up again properly.
