Embedding hosted picture links

I have seen a few posts on uploading pictures, but not sure if the ability to embed picture links from free hosting sites has been brought up?

It does not take up server space on the forum and if it worked you can change a lot of image size and link size and access.

For example https://imgbb.com/

I can't get it to work here but works well on other forums / bulletin boards, whats not to like as dear Maureen would say...

PIA , IMO  !!!!

One  forum that I used to subscribe to will now only accept images from hosting sites . Not for me.

I use Dropbox for manuals and documents but my experience with the likes of Photo Bucket and Image Shack for images has been less than satisfactory.

Yes Photobucket was a disaster and with "hosted somewhere else" images you are never entirely in control. But there's the rub..it's generally so much easier just to show a picture via hosted than upload with limitations and particular ways of doing it - although OLC is not that bad.

Just advocating choice to do either
