Brief Review of Buddings Mower

A brief review of the "mowing machine" which presumably means Budding's Patent lawnmower. The correspondent, referred to as "An Odd Fellow" favours the scythe for most tasks.

  • An Odd-Fellow. - A MOWING-MACHINE costs from £7 to £9, according to its size; it can only be used in dry weather, and when grass is very short. Where a lawn is to be kept extremely short, this machine is more effectual than a scythe, and it has also the merit of not requiring any dexterity in using it. We, however, prefer a scythe in the hands of a good mower.
