Ferrabee Advertisement in Gardeners Chronicle

H.B. Randall, writing in 1952, states that the partnership of John Ferrabee's sons, James & Henry, was dissolved by mutual consent in a circular issued on the 10th of November 1855.

John Ferrabee retired from the business in 1852 and died on the 24th of February 1853. John Ferrabee's will is a matter for further discussion; several of John's other children were paid off after his death, but only James and Henry were partners in the business. According Randall, James & Henry remained on good terms and had business dealings; they took out a patent in 1860, although whether this was the brothers or not is unclear as James also had a son named Henry.
