Tool kit as supplied with Atco Standard 16"
Hello, I have just acquired an Atco Standard 16" but it has an empty tool box and no lid. Could someone help to advise if it possible to source the correct tools and a a photo of the tool box with a lid in case I have to make one? The machine seems to be in great condition. Carrying out checks on the ignition system as there is no spark yet. Points set to 15 thou and cleaned but I suppose I need to get the flywheel off to check out the rest. Fuel system has been thoroughly gone through and cleaned and have started lubricating all the various oilers. Can anyone help with dating, the engine number is 19145.
I will remove and clean all the chains before starting. Very much looking forward to getting it back to life
Many thanks

I have to admit to being
I have to admit to being fascinated by the huge variation in shades of green people paint their Standards - mine ended up in BRG as that's what I could get, though the original colour (or the colour it was after it's last service and respray - witness the many different Atco transfers on the tank!) was markedly lighter, a sort of grass green - yours is really quite dark.
Thanks for the comments and I
Thanks for the comments and I am looking forward to get it going fairly soon. It does need a few bits, ignition coil for example. I think it was restored about 15 years ago but I do not know to what level and if the engine was taken apart. I will see if I can get it started and into working mode before deciding how far to take things. As far as colour goes is there a 'standard' green which is correct or is it down to what's in the workshop at the time!
Here's the best photo I have
Here's the best photo I have of the "original" colour of my machine, on the two mounting plates twixt engine and frame. I suspect that they were resprayed every time they were serviced, so whatever the original colour they would eventually end up with whatever was in the workshop on them
Thanks that is a different
Thanks that is a different colour from mine! I have started a new thread on my engine

That's a very interesting looking mower and it will be great to see that up and running again.
