Atco H5 24" Gear drive Sprocket
Hi.
Apparently I have an Atco H5 24" petrol lawnmower which recently failed because of a worn double sprocket in the drive chain. I believe it is an H5 because I saw an identical mower that has been restored. From the documentation in that topic it shows a user manual and the item I need is H 254 which is a double gear (10 and 26 teeth). Recent enquiries to various companies has turned up nothing, the model number doesn't seem to be relevant. I assume that is because it is a vintage mower. Can anyone direct me to someone who can help source the gear please. I have included a front and back picture. Thanks in advance.

I've has a bit of a scrabble
I've has a bit of a scrabble in the odds bin and found these bits. The sprocket assembly is definitely off a 24 but probably younger than yours. The smaller sprocket is 10 tooth but the larger one 30 tooth. My guess is that the the rubber covered rollers on the later machines were a shade larger in diameter than the steel or alloy ones on the early machines and that the extra size of the intermediate sprocket kept the ground speed down - just a guess.
Hi Angus.
Hi Angus.
I believe I could work with that. Just let me know how much? Thanks. Terry.
That is a n old part number
That is a n old part number and unless one can find the relevant book it doesn't mean too much. It will be helpful if you can post an image of your book or of the mower showing where it belongs. I’m guessing that it is one of the intermediate sprockets and the good news is that Atco used the same basic design and many of the same parts on successive generations of their 24” mowers.
