Pugh - cricketing connections with Atco

In a moment of madness I took one step beyond and started looking up a vaguely remembered connection between Charles H Pugh Ltd and a little-known county cricketer. 

It would appear that the chap I was looking for was Charles H's grandson John Pugh: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Pugh_(cricketer)

However John's nephew Tom went on to somewhat better things, and then a certain amount of infamy (they've all got it in for me) later in life:

That's very interesting, its surprising the stories & information that is out there, here is an Atco Cricket connection, the Archdeacon of Exeter testing an Atco Oval Frame in June 1922. Always a favourite of mine amongst our Atco archive items. Will see if I can find some more.

Great info, Adrian. 

Interesting to see that Tom Pugh had a meeting with Sir Percy Lister (of RA Lister) prior to becoming a player for Gloucestershire. This provides a cricketing link between Atco and the invention of the lawnmower because Sir Percy's great-grandfather George Lister registered a patent with Edwin Budding for improvements in carding machines.
