Some comments on the new forum layout

(1) When I view this site in Firefox, the names of the various forums (or sections) cannot be seen as they are in green font on a blue background. Either please (preferably) remove the blue background in the forum headers, or change the colour of the font of the forum names to white -- which is about the only color that will contrast sufficiently well with the blue so that it can be seen.

(2) The sequence of posts within a thread now seem to be in chronological order, which is a welcome improvement. However, it would be useful to see the time of each post. Could posting time please be shown next to the date?

Quite agree re the green text on blue I think that looks the same on all systems, I have also noticed that when viewing on the Ipad the photos on the welcome message are overlapping into the text to the right side of the page.
Just noticed that my recently added picture is not displaying?

Thanks for the comments. I'll see what I can do on making it look and feel the way you propose. One of the issues I have faced when doing the upgrade is that more than 50 different modules needed to be checked and re-implemented on top of the core system. Despite the extensive planning I did there were a number of unforeseen changes that resulted and I am working through them as fast as I can.

I can imagine that it has been an absolute nightmare to unravel the various problems and we are grateful for your efforts.

I see that my picture / avatar has now decided to make it's appearance, was it something that I had not done? The photo was acknowledged as ok but there was an error message also.Thanks

Well, I can view it fine using Firefox but as Ray says, not so good on the Ipad. Sure that a bit of tweaking will sort it in due course.

Hillsider, you did nothing wrong. I'm tracking down the underlying cause but I think it's something to do with updating existing pages. In the meantime, for the image to view correctly I needed to delve into the underlying database and change one of the entries. Clearly that won't be an ongoing option in the future. Hopefully by the end of the weekend...

As you'll see I have changed other settings on the forum to make it more readable. 

I've tested on IE, Chrome, FF and Opera but not on tablets. Will see what I can do but please do let me know if you spot anything else. As part of the upgrade some of the new modules loaded with defaults rather than the settings on the previous version which has been causing a few issues.

When I have time I might be inclined to write about it all.
