Hello I'm Dan from south Birmingham uk and I now have 5 mowers. A month ago I only had one, a Mountfield rotary which I bought some 40 years ago.

For the last 9 odd years I have not needed a mower as I started keeping 3 Hens. Within a few months they had eaten or scatched up the grass so there was just bare earth. Now I only have 2 hens and decided it would be nice to have a lawn again. So at the end of last month I ordered and laid 27 square metres of turf which I was assured was pesticide free. Dave my gardening helper suggested that I now use a roller mower and/or a lawn roller. So I put the word out and looked on Fleabay and now have 4 old mowers, petrol and a Webb corded electric, plus a cast iron roller.

The new old mowers are Atco B12, Atco B17, Webb 12", Suffolk Punch 17" very rusty.

My brother donated the Atco B12 and the roller, the other three was a job lot from Fleabay.

Happy days I might get a flat lawn sometime soon
