  • Hello! I have recently acquired an Atterton Ellis Ex. Duel reel grinder!! Although old (Serial No. 5378.) it is in working condition and , given some TLC and correct maintenance, I hope it will give good service in the future! I have actually ground my first cylinder on it and everything seems to work as it should!! Can anyone give me a schedule, or anyone who has first hand experience of using one of these and can give advice etc,for maintenance and service etc? How easy is it to change the grinding wheel? I would like to strip the fork mechanism down for inspection (bearings etc.) How is this done? Any tips, help or advice would be welcome, Cheers, Colin.
