HELP!

I've a Suffolk Punch engine, serial number 686066, that I rescued from a skip some years back. From the cement on the cowling I suspect it may have driven a cement mixer in its later days.

I'm playing with and decided it is worthwhile getting it going again and am currently trying to sort out the Delorto carburettor, type FHC 20 11A fitted to it.

I have found several sites that give exploded diagrams of the carburettor, but sod all actually listing the parts! Can any kind person please point me towards a parts list?

You appear to have a 'bitsa' there, bits of a 75G14 and bits of an A114. The main engine appears to be a fairly early cast-iron block and the carb is from a much later aluminium blocked engine. the carb should be a Zenith 13TCA

Interesting!

The magneto is a one piece unit with all the components, including the points, riveted to the baseplate and the tank has a plastic tap.

Definitely a bitsa / hybrid/ mongrel ! The "see saw" points suggest a fairly early engine and the pulley on the crank could well confirm your suspicion that it ended its life powering a mixer, but that cast iron block motor was also used to power the early versions of the Westwood Gemini cultivator.

Don't think so, but from the coil, mid to late 60s (though this could have been replaced), definitely not later than 1970, the ignition system changed around that time.
