Villiers 510 throttle slide

Villiers Type 510/.  The whole lot was stuck, but now the slide will move 1/4" but not fully slide out. What am I doing wrong?

Possibly an S10 ? Probably just s bit of internal corrosion. Squirt / spray some maintenance spray around inside the carb and keep working the slide up and down until it frees off.

Many thanks Wristpin. I got it out, eventually. Cannot believe the amount of corrosion. Now the same prob getting the float out. !
