To the Memory of SAMUEL WATHEN Esq.

late of Newhouse in this Parish. Obiiit Jan 6th 1818 Æt: 50

His tenderness and affection as a Husband and Parent; His integrity as a Magistrate; his piety and benevolence as a Christian, will long be remembered by his surviving Relatives and Friends.

SHEPPARD WATHEN, his eldest son died at St Denis, France on his return from Italy Sept 19th 1819 Aged 26.

ELLEN WOOD WATHEN his youngest Daughter died January 24th 1822. Aged 16.

ELIZABETH MARTHA HIS SECOND Daughter Wife of the Revd W.ASTLEY CAVE M.A, at Derby Nov 6th 1828, Aged 24

JONATHAN WATHEN. his third Son died at Bath April 4th 1831 Aged 30.

ELIZABETH. Widow of the above SAMUEL WATHEN died at Balham Oct 21st 1841 Aged 72.

Also of WILLIAM HENRY WATHEN 2nd Son of SAMUEL WATHEN, of the H.E.I.C.S. some time Chief Secretary to the Government of Bombay, who died at Cape Town June 28. 1866, Aged 71.
