1860-07-13 The Engineer - James Ferrabee - RASE Canterbury

The Royal Agricultural Society of England meet at Canterbury.

JAMES FERRABEE  and Co, of Stroud, exhibited a new machine, the Victoria, 2 horse Side-delivery Reaping and Mowing Machine, capable of working on level or hilly land, and of effectually raising and cutting laid or lesten down corn. Two sets of knives are used in this machine: the upper vibrates the lower are fixed, and the cutting action is the end. It is self-acting, and will deliver corn in either loose or compact sheaves, of any size, or in a continuous swaths. The gentleman also exhibited their patented Screw-Wrencher.
