Andrew Grout

Andrew was one of the founder-members of the club, having attended the original informal get-together at Milton Keynes Museum in 1989. This is the event where the idea of the club was first discussed. His interest in mowers goes back much earlier than this and he has collecting since his schooldays. Andrew is particularly interested in Ransomes mowers and his collection includes some of the company's earliest hand mowers as well as some very early motor mower and large ride-ons. He has served on the committee, barring a short break in the early 2010s, in a variety of capacities since 1993. 

Andrew is head of gardens at one of the UK's best-known stately homes and worked previously in the lawn mower repair industry. He lives near to Milton Keynes.
