Can anyone know if this is the correct model number 1755.

And any clues on how to remove these Chain Sprogs from the Side Plate.

Hello

Have you found a tag saying 1755? Often a copper tag attached to bolt=nut on sude cover 

As to the sprocket, suggest a gear puller.

Assume you have checked the cutting width, if 17in would appear to be a 1755, no doubt you have seen the Atco timeline.
