Mower Manufactures by Date of Making Mowers!

I thought I would do a list of companies that made lawnmowers in chronology, i.e. from the year they started to manufacture mowers.  This list; doubt as the date gets more modern, missing out a few obscure manufacturers will happen, so can add in after,  plus not including companies wholesaling and retailing other companies products.

Please advise if we need to update, the dates are either verified, i.e. original documented  evidence from within one year of the event.     I will put the letter "V" after the entry if fact others may be a date a few years previous if original documents lacking or not available to me.  or M.B.E.  for maybe earlier!   or Q for Questionable.

1830 - John Ferrabee & Co. of Thrupp  (Budding's Patent 1830)   V

1855 - Thomas Green of Leeds      MBE

1862 - Kennan & Sons of Dublin   MBE

1863 - Barnard, Bishop & Barnard of Norwich (this was their friction drive patent)  V

1863 - Mortons Patent by Grimmond Laird   V

1869 - Follows & Bate of Gorton, Manchester   Q

1873   John Crowley - Samuel Edwards Patent  Meadowhall, Sheffield  V

1877 - Boulton & Paul of Norfolk  Q

1885 - Barford & Perkins   MBE
