Does anyone remember 'Ginge' rotary mowers?

My father bought one from our local hardware store in the late 1960's or maybe mid 1970's, it had a two stroke stroke Aspera engine as I remember, it was my job to sharpen the blade on my very first bench grinder, saved my dad a lot of effort filing. Mostly white in colour, as I remember it, different cutting heights were attained by attaching the four wheel mountings at the three different available hole settings.

Lurking in a shed...a blue Ginge rotary, with 4 stroke Aspera and a very poorly corroded deck if I recall....

Thanks for posting the pics and replying, my father's was earlier I think, just a deck with wheels, engine and handles, very basic, was about £25 I think. German manufacture maybe, like Alko?

My daughter picked the one up from near Bath on Christmas Eve, and surprised me on Christmas Day, as a Christmas present!

Overall not in too bad a condition, no spark plug cap, a little rust under the deck.

Did it have a throttle cable or was the engine governed for a constant rpm?

Cleaned the points and got a spark, added fuel I used 25:1 but I have since found out it should be 16:1? Got the engine running but when I stopped it fuel ran out of carb. I will need a new diaphragm and possibly needle, but not too easy to find. The engine is an Aspera TA633, does anyone know where I can get them?

Try, Jon at the Hailsham Mower Centre or JAPG

Needle 16240001, diaphragm 23910004. The air filter cap is probably 23430015
