MOTOR MOWER OR CLASSIC RIDE ON MOWER INSURANCE?

Several scenarios:

1. For A vintage garden / Horticultural tractor with original  number plate recognised by the DVLA  for OLC shows only.

    

2. For A vintage garden / horticultural  tractor with  original number plate recognised by the DVLA  for OLC shows  and occasional trips on a minor public highway, i.e. outside our gate when doing hedge cutting in summer!

Mainly for shows and steam rallies!

And Also Dad & myself   wish to take  machines like Dennis with trailing seat fitted.

I believe the club insurance (got the ticket somewhere) only covers pedestrian walk behind.

I've made a few enquiries (well 3 so far)  for vintage ride on mower / Tractor Insurance. ......................................     Costs over £100 per year,  so this makes it not worth bothering with for one or two shows per year.............still more Insurance quotes in the pipeline.

A policy to cover various  sit on mowers and garden tractors  would be a must.

Good Day all those people interested in taking a Petrol Engine'd Lawnmower to a Rally or show............Such as the Old Lawnmower AGM in May!

(But were daunted by the paperwork and cost incurred!)

Mowing Wurzel is searching to get reasonable quotes for "Road Traffic Act" cover.

As many different scenario's based on the drivers claim history & vehicle in question,  I will base my quotes on  

1. Dennis Mower of 600cc    with trailing seat  - Third Party

2. "Vintage" 1960's  Ride on Mower  - Petrol with integral cutter deck  - Third Party

3. "Vintage" 1960's  Ride on Mower  - With trailing Gangs or topper  - Third Party

I will hopefully report on some favourable quotes.
