Idly glancing through the 1871 English and Foreign Trade Gazette the other day I came across a machine that I'd not seen before : Milburns Improved Patent Reversible. Manufactured in the 1860's apparently several thousand had been made by the early 1870's.

Does anyone have any further information or indeed have one ?

Just a quick internet search, as most of the readers will have undertaken, I find this article!

I have one reference on file as below from 1869 & earliest ad I can find 1868, the an 1869 ad states that they can go 'Twenty' places that other mowers cannot, any suggestions?

The sales figures are amazing if true, I see they were being advertised in Hull alongside Automatons & Silens Messors, perhaps Jonathan H can find one up there!

I found this one, not dated but I estimate c1870 as it claims "6600 have been sold since 1865" so likely a year or so after the one posted by Clive earlier. Sorry, it's a photo rather than a scan so slightly blurry.
