Hello, I was looking at replacing the fabric covering on my grass collection box, which wears through quite easily.

The frame is fairly rigid wire, so I thought 1mm aluminium sheet should work. Has anyone any experience with this?

What make and model is it please?

If its a quote modern mower such as a Hayter Harrier 48 / 56, etc for example, people sell the coverings on the popular online auction platforms.

You don't say what type mower you are using but if as I suspect you have a rotary mower with a rear mounted grass collector the fabric covering is designed to allow air to flow through the woven fabric.

If you use a solid covering a mesh covered vent panel will need to be fitted or you could have problems with grass clippings not throwing into the collector properly.
