Another for the collection picked up today. A well preseved JP Super Mower. I've always favoured Ransomes machines but not so sure now. Must say it's very well put together and looks ahead of it's time when you compare with other machines of the era. 

Not sure of the age as the code on the side consists of only numbers 6728. Could anyone shed more light on this?

Nice find!!

If you type in  JP Dating Information  in the Search Site area you will be able to see how the JP serial numbers can be converted to dates.

Thanks Rob, just checked the dating section and it looks like an early one produced between 1921-26. It still has a lot of original paint with sharp blades so it's been cared for well. Fast running out of room now.

Same here Hedley, no room left for more mowers.

I did get away with this for a very brief moment a long time ago.....it only happened once!!
