The coil I have replaced it
The coil I have replaced it with is a cheapy from green spark plug,so presumably no condenser the, original has the condenser under the points I think
Forget all my last post about
Forget all my last post about coils - I though that your machine was much younger .
Your coil is probably fine but you do have a condenser hidden under the round points box and it is quite likely to be the cause of your lack of spark. To test it properly you need to find someone with the proper testing equipment but new condensers are available from Villiers parts etc.

About half way down the page - square thing with Villiers written on it .

Did the original set up have
Did the original set up have a separate condenser? If not, has your replacement coil got the embedded condenser ? They look quite similar.
