New member with an atco 16" standard.
Hi all, I have just acquired a atco 16" standard 1923/1926 which i intend to restore, I will try and upload a picture if i can work it all out. plenty of questions to come.
Sorry cant seem to get my head round the photo uploading...
Hi, Would anyone know the right shade of green to use on a atco standard ?.
The paint colour recommended is S5040G30Y, local paint specialist should understand this code& be able to mix for you. Shades often varied when mowers were made/seviced, sometimes just using the nearest available tin of green paint.
I tend to find an area of frame etc that has been concealed away from light, oil etc & take this along to a paint supplier that has one of those magic scanners that can pull up a direct match which they can mix for you.
Take a look at my website & you will see the result of doing this (note the images were taken in different light, the later ones with the wooden rollers/handles are how it actually looks in daylight.
Hope thats of use.
Thanks for that clive , Thats a great help, i will now look into it...
This is how far i have got with the atco standard, hope to have it finished for the annual rally at milton keynes in may.....
