Help with restorations

Enter a word or two to search the forum section and click the Search Forum button.

Hi Folks,

I'm looking to restore two mowers - one an Atco Standard and the second a Ransomes Certes. I'm brand new to anything technical, however - particularly in relation to engines. I was wondering if there might be any members in Surrey or South West London (I'm near Wimbledon) who might be interested in getting together occasionally - either for me to help them with their projects, or vice-versa.

I'm keen to learn, but not too confident about the best way to start. It would be great to team up with someone with more knowlege.

All the best

I wish you were more in the wales direction. I would be more than happy to help you out. Ransomes certes hand owers are a real joy to restore. not just because of their design but their splender and majesty. what gorgious machines they are too. the atco standard is as exciting as it gets on a restoration job. can be tricky though  when it comes to certain areas. Have done some service work on a standard and gets interesting getting the fine tuning done.

anyway, good luck on the restorations front. if you go to my website, you'll find some helpful guidelines and at the moment, I'm still updating things as time permits.
