New member and question on Webb Witch parts
Hi, I'm new to the club and forum and just wanted to say hello.
Recently got into the world of old mowers and mainly interested in post war push mowers. Currently restoring a Ransomes Ajax mk4 and have also brought a couple of Webb Witches and a Webb Whippet to work on after.
Specific question on the Webb Witch machines, I'm trying to source some of the wing nuts used on the front roller adjustment. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I might be able to source these from?

im breaking one at the minute but sadly the wing nuts are shot. If you need a ground cylinder, rear roller or brand new bottom blade on the other hand....

I've got a pair off an old Webb somewhere in my shed, I think they're BSF or Cycle thread, but I do remember some rust on them, I don't have new ones sorry.
Hi Jack & welcome to the club
Hi Jack & welcome to the club & forum, I have some Webbs coming in next week, will see what they are like & if I can break for spares.
I don't believe all Witches had the wing nut adjuster, from brochures I see that some had hand wheels & others just a nut for adjustment?
Possibly just the late ones had the wing nut.

Thanks all, I will give Jon a try. I can just replace with generic wingnuts or nuts but thought I'd see if I could find some originals first.
Clive that would make sense as both of these are later models. One of the them is definitely a series 5, I believe the other is as well but there are some subtle differences so probably from different stages of the production run of the series 5. They have a slightly different rear roller, and the graphic is on different sides.
