12/14" petrol or electric cylinder mowers

Im keeping my eye open for my next restoration and am open to petrol or electric mowers. Would have to be good runners as engines are far from my strong point.

Ideally i would like a compact 14" petrol,  were there any made that size of was 16" the norm back in the day? Clive has a little gem Ransomes Ajax electric mower done with an adapter kit, probably a very rare find.

Thanks Wristpin, how does this more modern stuff compare to the old baring in mind im after a reliable engine? Ill have to do a search on the mowers you listed and see what they look like and availability.

Qualcast Suffolk Punch Classic 35s 14 Inch Cut Cylinder Mower

The machines that I listed fall into the 1950  - 1980 bracket or perhaps the Classic era. No reason for any of them to be “ unreliable” . Get into the electronic era and if something goes pop it can be an expensive replacement part.

I left one out, the Qualcast Commodore . A totally useable classic from the 1950s.
