Worn Clutch - Suffolk Colt 12inch

Hi,

I acquired the above mower for parts but have cured the problem on another mower (Engine) so am looking to restore it.  The main problem i have found is the clutch shoes as worn down to the rivets and the friction plates are also loose.

It seems a shame to not keep it functional so would like some advice/info.  The part number of the shoe is L8708,  is it still possible to get the friction plate for the clutch,  it seems to be the larger  4" clutch or must I look for the complete shoe?

Also I have seen what seems to be the same clutch but sold with a longer shaft (for a 14"),  is it easy to interchange the shafts?

Thanks

It was possible to purchase new linings and rivets . Your best bet is to contact Jon Cruse at the Hailsham Mower Centre. He advertises on the back cover of the Club magazine, Grassbox.
