WHILST BROWSING THE GARDENERS CHRONICLE, I FIND THIS INTERESTING FINGER GRASS CUTTER. I DO RECALL SEEING COLLECTORS WITH MACHINES LIKE THIS.
ALSO OF NOTE ON THE SAME PAGE, WE SEE THOMAS GREENS' WITH PRODUCTION FIGURES OF 41500 AND A SHANKS ADVERT.

Would like one of those Paul, interesting the reference to cutting round 'Tombstones', many having said that was the use for 6in lawn mowers, although not aware it was ever stated.
I have a later USA Canton Grass Clipper patented in 1911, similar look & a slightly later Heimann Trimmer again from the USA 1822. Images below.
I noticed under the Cornes their is an advertisement for the Josiah Le Butt seed drill, image of one we have, painted by previous owner.
