Inferior quality replacement fuel taps

Hi All

Very frustrated with the current (seemingly only available) replacement fuel tap for my 1970's ATCO and Suffolk Punch Mk VII mowers.  Horrendous twist fuel tap that only allows fuel to dribble/drip out.  No difference with or without filter in situ.  Have tried two now from JAPG but each exactly the same.

I've even tried boring out the hole in the twist rotating section to allow an increased flow but the problem persists.

Does ANYONE have any alternatives??  Perhaps the Villiers parts product 18435 might be a better solution....

Thanks and kind regards

Jonathan

Further to my last message, I've found the Villiers parts brass tap accommodates a 3/16 fuel tap outlet.  The width of the Zenith fuel inlet appears to be 1/4".  Would anyone have experience of using 3/16" fuel pipe to connect to the Zenith carb?  Thanks again.  Jonathan
