Hi all, I have recently acquired an oval frame standard. As I expected the flywheel is slightly different from later standards however the points are entirely different and something Iv never seen before. I can see how they work but seem to open twice per revolution of the flywheel. 

Any info much appreciated.

How interesting, I've not seen anything identical to this before.

Presumably there is a condenser/capacitor somewhere, is there a cavity beneath the points where it is located?

You don't show a picture of the inside of the flywheel, are you indicating there are two high points on the cam?
