Ransomes Typhoon Major

Hi OLC, it's becoming very addictive this lawnmower collection & restoral. I have just purchased my second mower in a month! It was listed as a ransomes typhoon major with a Villiers 150cc engine circa 1968. Does this look to be true as I haven't found much on the net to confirm this. I will be trying to restore it to the original specification & colour scheme. Let the work begin

Fairly sure that it is a Typhoon with a Villiers 515V 150cc engine. Whether or not Ransomes manufactured it themselves or bought it in and badged it, I'm not sure. I've got both parts and operator's manuals for the engine and can scan them, if needed.

Thanks for the offer of scanning the manuals. I won't take your time up with that now, i'll have a good inspection of the machine first & see what is needed to get it running. Thanks wristpin for your advice so far

Hi wristpin, I have managed to get it running but would like to check the manuals to sort a few finer points. I have found the Villiers 515 manual & the Ransomes typhoon manual but if you have the pdf for the typhoon major I would greatly appreciate it.
