43sl roller side play.

Further to my post rear roller mishap i have reassembled the machine and have about1/8 to 3/16 side to side play on the roller, the cover plate over the pinion is tight and the roller turns freely, is this play acceptable given the pinion is plastic?

Thank You, ah well it comes apart again, what sort of freeplay should i be looking for as at the moment the only way i can acheive this would be to use ginding paste on a washer that is a gnats too thick.

After some hunting around i have a washer the right diameter and thickness and now have about 2mm of play, if only to have more space on the bench to keep things in order of removal.
