John Claudius Loudon
John Claudius Loudon (1782-1843) was one of the first people to write about and report on the invention of the lawnmower, notably in The Gardeners' Magazine (which he founded and edited) during 1831 and 1832. These articles included technical details of the machine and reports of the first lawnmower trials, held at Regents Park.
