John Dyer of Trowbridge Patent No. 6460
John Dyer of Trowbridge, Wiltshire invented a rotary fulling mill that was designed for "fulling, thickening, felting, and cleansing woollen cloth and other fabrics."
This was later improved by Ferrabee and and two examples built at The Phoenix Ironworks, Thrupp during the 1850s survive in Gloucestershire.
