Budding Patent Retailer - Deane & Co of London
Deane & Co was established in 1700 and by the early Victoria era was a major retailer of household items, with premises in King William Street, near London Bridge in London. The advertisement below, from the 1847 edition of Websters Royal Red Book, lists lawnmowers as one of the products available through the company.
It is not known whether this was restricted solely to Budding Patent Lawnmowers as Shanks of Arbroath had already been producing mowers for five years at this point.
