MOWING MACHINES - BUDDING'S MACHINE for cutting Grass Plots, Pleasure Grounds, Bowling Greens, &c., &c., Manufactured by John Ferrabee, Phoenix Iron Works, near Stroud, Gloucestershire.

The use of this Machine offers may important advantages over the ordinary method of cutting Grass Plots, &c.,  with a scythe. It may be so adjusted as to leave the Grass passed over by it of any regular length, at the pleasure of the operator, and it leaves  a more even and uniform surface than can be produced by the most skilful mower. The Machine can be used best in dry weather, thus enabling the gardener to cut his Lawns at the most convenient time, instead of being obliged, as with a scythe, to wait for rain or heavy dews. There are three sizes of Hand Machine made cutting the several widths of 16, 19, and 22 inches;  also machines of larger dimensions for Horse power.

    J. F. also manufactures the following Implements, Machinery, &c. :-
